Native Records is a U.S. based independent record label, which was formed by industry veterans John W. Smith and Kenneth M. Smith.  The label is based in the Playhouse District of Pasadena, approximately 8 miles from downtown Los Angeles, California. Native is digitally distributed, worldwide, by San Francisco-Based INgrooves Pure Digital Media. The label specializes in R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop and Gospel. Native’s newly formed 18th & Pine Music imprint focuses on Fusion Jazz, Dance, Electronic, Latin and Reggae Music.  Native also functions as a sub-distributor for smaller, yet focused independent labels.  Native’s philosophy is to only become involved with cutting-edge artists and labels that carry a high level of integrity, innovation and obtain a high level of passion for their music.
